ABSTRACT
The present contribution aims to develop a juridical dogma that could be adequate to describe that complex reality which is constituted by the configuration of internal juridical relations within the College of Bishops. In this way, it has also become possible to advance in the understanding of the intrinsically communitarian aspect of the episcopal office as the result of the relationship of unitary succession to the apostolic office of divine right.
