ABSTRACT
The contribution aims to examine the concept of happiness, both from a juus-political perspective, in the light of the reference to the “right to happiness” contained in the Declarations of Rights and in some Constitutional Charters, and from a confessional perspective, starting from the importance assumed by this concept in the most recent reflections of Pope Francis. From the comparison between the secular and religious conception we draw the foundation of the juridical configuration of happiness as a pervasive and teleological right of the order that needs to be concretely realized through the contemplation between rights given by the duty of solidarity as an expression of everyone’s responsibility for social progress.
