ABSTRACT
This essay analyses the concept of peace in the official documents of the Conferences of European Episcopal Conferences (CCEE), an “intermediate” ecclesiastical body that plays a vital role in fostering a culture of peace among the Churches of Europe. Through examining a selection of documents published on the CCEÈs official website over the last decade, this essay provides a thematic analysis of the different interpretations of the concept of peace. The aim is to clarify its theological, pastoral, and legal significance.
