ABSTRACT
This paper offers a systemic analysis of the progressive reconfiguration of religious entities as digital economic actors, in light of the transformations induced by the adoption of innovative tools for the collection and management of financial resources. Through an inter-order legal approach, the paper examines the legal implications of implementing online fundraising practices, highlighting the tensions between transparency requirements, regulatory obligations, and the safeguarding of confessional identity. Particular attention is paid to the reinterpretation of civil law categories and the application of the principle of cooperative secularism within the framework of digital regulation. In this context, the article develops a critical reflection on the relevant legal frameworks and emerging policy perspectives, also considering recent European developments in digital and financial services regulation.
