The juridical concept of reparation of damage is specular to the profiles of justice that the canonical order pursues. The concept of reparation takes on precise connotations especially with respect to the profiles of responsibility that affect the faithful in inter-subjective relationships. An investigation into the concept of reparation and damage in canon law, it seemed, could not be separated from the analysis of the legislation provided by the Pius-Benedictine Codex and historical sources, in order to verify whether or not there has been an evolution in the concept and discipline.
