ABSTRACT
The contribution investigates the relationship between ethics and politics in a philosophical and theological key, concentrating, first of all, on the problem of the purpose of acting and its relationship with the exercise of power. The question of the choice of the means deemed necessary for the pursuit of political aims is also addressed, also with regard to the Italian political situation.
