ABSTRACT
The contribution examines the role of dialogue between religious denominations and European Union institutions, pursuant to Article 17 TFEU, in the construction of the European legal space and, in particular, in the regulation of artificial intelligence technologies, culminating in the adoption of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act). In this context, religious actors have actively contributed to the development of a paradigm of “algor-ethics” capable of reconciling technological innovation with the protection of fundamental human rights, including freedom of religion.
