ABSTRACT
Following the agreements of Villa Madama in 1984, the legal regulation of the concordat wedding needed to be updated: the debate about the reserve of ecclesiastical jurisdiction had been affected by the sentences of the Constitutional Court and the Cassation Court. The parliamentary discussion revealed the different positions of the political parties and the analysis of the parliamentary documents provides a picture of the political climate about the relationship between Church and State.
